Live
audio services
I provide freelance soundguy-for-hire service with or without PA for bands or groups who need audio services.
A good sound engineer is a live sound producer, working in real time to mix a pleasing performance.
Over the last 20+ years I've mixed many groups both live and in-studio. I've worked with a lot of rock groups, I also enjoy jazz, blues, country, acoustic and classical gigs. I may choose to decline rap, hip-hop, some metal.
Live mixing on your system or a house system for as little as $125
per evening (no equipment provided).
I can provide all needed PA equipment, delivery and labor, starting from $225 per evening.
PA system provides high quality sound coverage for most events covered by local bands.
- Plenty of power for tri-amped stereo mains powered by Crown MacroTech, Crest and Yamaha amps
- up to 4 monitor
mixes
- four stage wedges + drum monitor
- Yorkville Unity-series U15 HF loudspeakers, four excellent OAP T-152 loudspeakers, or four Ramsas.
- up to four LS808 semi-horn loaded 18" subwoofers
- Allen Heath 24 ch GL-series, Peavey's top-line 32ch w/DSP, Allen & Heath Mixwiz 16 or Soundcraft mixer.
- 24 x 8 stage snake and 16 x 4 stage snake.
- Shure, EV, Sennheiser, Audix and BeyerDynamic microphones, Lexicon effects etc.
I'm not a lampie, but I can provide modest stage lighting for a small additional charge.
No mileage charges for local events (within 30 miles of Stillwater MN).
Most gigs are video recorded for reference, and upon request a copy of the live recording of your gig will be provided, if available, for the cost of media + handling.
